Every single member of the staff was polite, friendly, and attentive, and I felt very warmly welcomed. My room was spacious, had a small Well, how right they were! The staff here are the stars. Unforgettable that's what you are singing. This weekend I traveled to Mt. I am Grenadian but when I left my home and entered this soothing environment I knew I never Our stay was superb, excellent food, friendly staff and a beach position that could not be equalled.
Every aspect of this friendly hotel is excellent. I had slipped and injured my knee on my first night. The next day I went to the front desk to inquire about the nearest pharmacy where I Gem Holiday Beach Resort. For the price and location it was a good deal. No frills in the hotel room but freezing cold AC and we had a private verandah.
Radisson Grenada Beach Resort. Even though I did not use the gym I was impressed that it opened 24 hrs a day. I liked the fact that the property was spread over a wide area and I did not have to take any elevators to get to While nothing is perfect on the island of Grenada, this resort is definitely an eight out of And that says a lot.
The staff was considerate and very welcoming. Water was warm, beach was clean. Grounds were lovely with lots of Hosts give you a local mobile phone too which is useful.
The staff, namely Nelson was so accommodating and pleasant. We stayed there five night. Excellent and convenient location. Grenadian by Rex Resorts. At check in we we're greeted with a big smile and a welcome rum punch.
Our room was up graded to overlook the lakes and the I happen to love being there that I found it petty to nitpick. The staff were fantastic and the island made up for anything lacking. The dive center and crew were fabulous Spice Island Beach Resort. Service was second to none, they gave you that personalized atmosphere where every staff knew our The first bonus is that the hotel is only a 10 minute ride away from the airport which was very welcome True Blue Bay Boutique Resort.
The people are what made it perfect!! I wish I knew all of their names!!! Some that stand out are Olivia, Dion, Edge, and Devoney. There were so many more. The staff was genuinely nice, the resort was Le Phare Bleu Villa Resort. The owner met us on arrival and upgraded us to a villa right on the bay steps from the sea. Amazingly beautiful views from the veranda of the villa of the sea. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The bar and restaurant was great with lounge seating and the small docks off the beach were a I usually work over 60 hours a week. All I wanted was peace and quiet to enjoy our anniversary and Laluna served it up wonderfully. We were there for 8 nights, All of our needs were taken care of just perfectly! The rooms were great and they had incredible views of the sunset! The owner of the hotel is so kind and accommodating.
The place feels very much "at home" and is very unique and beautiful. The view truly is a "grand view! We called ahead to book a table and were asked to make our meal choices whilst making the reservation. That caught us on the wrong foot but after a Including Queen the dog and Ziggy the cat. The food was excellent and the atmosphere one-of-a-kind.
It was quite nice to be offered to choose our room in the "manor" after visiting all of them. This hotel was recommended by a few locals We took a small back road, but I'm sure there is a more The individual chalet room with huge verandah and hammock provide both comfort and privacy.
Amazing views and sea breeze from the restaurant terrace. Lance Aux Epines Cottages. There is a lovely small bar that serves food and drinks from 11am. The food is good healthy food. Philip the chef cooks a mean The stay was very relaxing and pleasnat. Wave Crest Holiday Apartments. It is not a fancy place. Sort of on the level of a hostel but I was comfortable there throughout my stay. The staff are friendly though and there is wifi not the best signal though.
Beautiful view with cottages right near the beach. Clean and delightful with wonderful ocean breeze that keeps you cool. Driving to Grand Anse beach is not far

Beautiful view with cottages right near the beach. Clean and delightful with wonderful ocean breeze that keeps you cool. Driving to Grand Anse beach is not far The location is very quiet at the end of a lane, so there is no traffic noise. We had one of the 2-bedroom cottages, and it met all of our needs.
Sandals Grenada Resort and Spa. Have no complaints, but a few suggestions. Install lights on the stairways in the Pink Gin Building and more coverings, semi-tents like in Barbados on the beach chairs. I had been to 2 Sandals resorts prior to and they were wonderful. This resort was everything I had anticipated. Bel Air Plantation Resort. She was my BEST friend and also like a sister to me.
We settled on a garden villa 5. Wonderful views and garden spaces. Faces out to the ocean. Lots of room, 2 bedrooms, lovely kitchen with all the things one would My husband and I only got to stay here for 2 nights, but we loved every minute of it and cannot wait to go back.
Andrea was there for everything we needed! I run a resort in the US, and told Andy my The dogs are very cute, friendly, and protective of the property, so they will bark in the night if there are noises nearby.
The room was clean and looks just like the pictures on here. Definitely let your hosts know what you're into because they're so accommodating! They hooked us up with a few locals for tours, taxi, and leatherback sea turtle watching.
The locals love Hans and are grateful for the business. I would stay here again. We stayed three nights at Benny's Nest and it was perfect for us! Absolutely beautiful view, Peter was very friendly and helpful, and the place is very clean. Getting to and from the nest is a bit of an adventure but well worth the view! This is the place to stay on the island! Skip the hotel, grab a rental car, and experience local Grenada on your own while staying in this lovely guest house.
Peter and his wife are fantastic and very attentive hosts. You most certainly won't be disappointed if you stay here. It has all the amenities you'd need to enjoy a vacation away with the exception of a kitchen, but honestly, it isn't a big deal because should be eating local food! However, there is a fridge for you to keep your cool refreshments. In addition to the large bed and beautiful bathroom, Benny's Nest has a wrap around outdoor porch which is perfect for watching sunsets.
Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place and you would really be doing yourself a disservice by staying elsewhere. Next time we visit Grenada, you bet we will be staying here again. Bravo to Peter and his wife! Sincerely, Jason and Elisabeth two happy guests!
Beautiful and somewhat secluded location. The cabin was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Had everything that I needed. Owners have moved to the southern part of the island.
Communication can be a bit spotty but that can be expected for the Carribean. Wish I could have stayed longer. Fe was a fantastic host. We had "Antonio" the island's Macaw parrot visit us a few mornings. The cottage is eco-friendly although you wouldn't know- very well equipped. We had shower, cooker, electricity, fridge and a great bed with a decent mosquito net not that there were any mosquitos due to the fact we were up the hill and therefore good breeze.
The place was very clean and felt homely. This is probably along with Antonio the only noise in the area! No traffic or the likes to be heard I strongly recommend staying here; a truly unique and beautiful cottage that gives a real "feel" of the island life which is exactly what we were after for our special holiday.
Charmig is far from enough to describe this gorgeous cottage. We had three wonderful nights here. There should be a human right to sit in the hammock here and follow the day turn into night. To watch the endless blue ocean get soaked up in the sky in the horizon. To count all zillion stars in the sky at night, while listening to all the crickets and the deep roar from the reef out in the ocean. The cottage itself is just lovely, and the hosts Ivan and Fe are very helpful, kind and loving people.
Not to mention all the lovely animals strolling around in the garden. We're gonna miss the visits from the dogs. Need we say no more? Go, see for yourselves! We absolutely loved the tranquility and simple beauty of this unique little hideaway and the care and style with which it had been built.
It's out of the way, which obviously necessitates a car, but this helps to make it special and well worth the effort. It's perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. I'd certainly recommend it to friends.
I would look elsewhere. I really wanted to like this place, but there was bird crap and dead insects on top of the mosquito net rained down if you shook it , it was incredibly hot and stagnant with no means of cooling yourself down , Fe gave terrible and wrong instructions that took me 3 hours to find the place, and bugs easily got into the mosquito net area through cracks in the floor. We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. It was just what we needed everyday, to come back to a warm, wooden, peaceful, cabin surrounded by flowers and greens with the most beautiful view of the ocean right out front.
Great hosts, very helpful in every way! Thank you, Ivan and Fe, for going out of your way to make us feel welcome! The cottage was cute, clean and had an excellent view of the ocean. We loved exploring Carriacou, riding the bus around the island and spending quiet evenings in the hammock at the cottage. This was our favorite accommodation during our trip! The eco cottage is an idyllic retreat. We loved everything about it. We stayed here for a week and can highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed vacation in a truly romantic venue.
The house is a dream, it is furnished and decorated in a manner that makes you feel at home the minute you enter the property. Additionally, the host Treva and the entire staff was enormously attentive, friendly, always trying to make all our wishes possible and at the same time respecting our privacy. Treva offered to pre-stack our refrigerator prior our arrival. The kitchen has all the equipment to cook or prepare breakfast, if you wish to dine in.
The kitchen is equipped for 4 persons. The Tower gets cleaned on a daily basis, with fresh towels a minimum of twice per week. Also, Treva recommended a rental car company with whom special rates exist. We recommend to consider this if you wish to rent a car. We were picked up from the airport with our car, and the paperwork was done quickly. Please note that your foreign drivers license needs to be validated by the local police at their station for a fee of USD The rental company will take you there and the whole things is done in 5 minutes.
We found this very convenient. The location of the property is close to the airport and a few minutes driving to the nearest supermarket and St George.
There are some restaurants nearby that are of good quality. To leave and enter the property with the car, the gate needs to be opened, which is a bit complicated and takes some time.
The private pool is not very big, but nicely located on the sundeck and excellent for cooling down on a hot day. Umbrellas and 4 cushioned chairs are available on the sundeck. Furthermore, the Tower is located in a nicely maintained garden, with a lot of local flowers and plants. The view from the Tower over the bay is fantastic, especially in the evening with the sun setting down over the boats. We wish we could have stayed here longer and want to thank Treva and the staff again for their hospitality.
Just got back from 8 days in the sugar mill tower. We were very bummed not to get to hang with treva who had been called off island during our stay and who had been great help getting it all set up; but sarah and donal turned out be fantastic hosts in her place. Mellow and very accommodating with information and tips.
From the outdoor living room to the plunge pool to the dock to the upstairs patio for sunset, we just adored the place. The ability to go fishing and cook my catch was a huge plus.
Having arrived at the beginning of the wet season everything was green and lush. The big iguanas feeding on the flowering tree off the deck were a treat. The house anoles and geckos were great snacks It was hard to leave The Sugar Mill Tower is the best place for a romantic stay on Grenada. Treva is a perfect host and she is always available for any questions or help at the same time she respects the privacy.
All the staff on the property is very friendly, helpful and attentive. At our arrival Treva pre-stocked the fridge for our first breakfast. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at "our" home. Treva recommanded Parkey for car rental. He picked us up from the airport and brought us to the police station for the driving license. Everything was very uncomplicated. It was our honeymoon and we really enjoyed the stay at Sugar Mill Tower! We were exploring the island by car. There are few signs but with the map you can find everything.
At the Concord falls we took a guide, Albert. The paths are not signed and you have to cross the small river several times. He guides us save and at the same times he explaines all plants and fruits.
Sugar Mill Tower is the absolute perfect place to stay while visiting Grenada. It's located near the best beaches, both popular and remote, as well as great restaurants and bars. The view from the tower is stunning, we couldn't get enough! We loved waking up and going for a swim and paddle right off the dock.
It's also the perfect spot to watch the sunset The women taking care of the property and logistics were wonderful, friendly and helpful. It was our honeymoon and I am so happy we decided to go to Grenada and stay in the lovely Sugar Mill Tower. We had a magical time in the tower.
It has the perfect location down by the water with the most amazing views. Treva our host was so helpful and welcoming and made herself available anytime day or night. We will definitely be back. The Sugar Mill Tower was just as expected, absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. Check in was super easy, we also used Parkey's Car Rental service which was spectacular. Ray work's with the property and will pick you up from the airport, have everything ready for you and brings you to the property where the vehicle is located.
The property was stunning! I loved the layout and the multiple levels; the vegetation gives an authentic touch. The private pool is great for a nice dip during the day or night. Start gazing was nice on the upper level where the deck opens up and of course the view of the bay is beautiful as well.
The hosts were lovely and very helpful! They also had the perfect amount of interaction Location is perfect, less than 10 minutes from the airport. We look forward to visiting again and would love to come back to the Sugar Mil. Overall we spent a great week here at the end of our Grenada holiday. Having been in more remote locations previously it was good to be within walking distance of several good bars and restaurants, and our daily early morning swim from the dock was a joy - I'm still missing it now!
Staff were friendly and approachable - special mention must be made of Cindy, who always greeted us with a smile. The gardens are beautifully maintained, and although you're in a residential area there is a strong sense of privacy in and around the tower.
It certainly wasn't a big deal, just a minor annoyance in an otherwise lovely week. The Sugar Mill Tower is absolutely amazing. The views from the upper deck are hard to beat.
We found our selfs either sitting up top or by the pool and found it very easy to let the day slip away. Having the kitchen pre-stocked with a few essentials made it very easy to get things moving along on our vacation. We fell in love with the local nutmeg jam and bought enough to last us until our next visit. The local area is great, we walked down to the Prickly Bay marina and had a perfect night watching the steel drum band from coyaba and then a local reggae band, "The Mystic Band", and never made it further up the road to the local brewery.
The walk is nothing far, just be aware of cars coming and going in the road. Overall we could not have asked for more from this rental or its staff who were more than helpful. We can not wait to come back with our friends and hopefully rent the entire house.
This was our ultimate vacation. From the start, communication was thorough with Vikki and Linnette. Once we arrived in Grenada, Linnette, the property manager was waiting for us. She set us up with a complimentary taxi to the grocery and then to the house. Timmy greeted us at the home where he gave us a tour and explained where everything could be located. We opted to have dinner cooked for us by the Amazing Joanne; it was delicious.
Devon stopped by to bring us some fresh fruit and coconuts. Bruno's restaurant was spectacular! The house was immaculate, the views were breathtaking, the small village beach was just perfect. Often times we were the only ones there except from the donkey and pigs. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a long day of discovering the island. This was a wonderful trip! We plan to go back! The house is perfect getaway with great views and amenities!
The people are so friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend it! Not only the house itself, but the area is just breathtaking and location is very convenient if you want to explore Grenada more, which I strongly recommend. A car is a must though but Vikki made all the arrangements for me, she was also very helpful along my entire stay and I can say I enjoyed every minute of it!
Hope to visit again soon: Vikki was a wonderful host. She was highly communicative and helped to make sure everything was taken care of. We loved staying at her place. While it doesn't have air conditioning which she did communicate , with the screens and vented windows in each room we slept comfortably and peacefully overlooking the ocean and beach below. Waking up and hopping into the pool was a wonderful way to spend each morning. The house is lovely and modern.
Great well equipped kitchen which would have been handy had we been organised enough to cook for ourselves. Everything was very well organised and the management company collected us from the airport and arranged a number of things we had requested hire car, tickets to the cricket etc which was really great.
It is a way min from touristy area Grand Anse and main town of St Georges. However a good starting point if you want to explore the whole island- which we sadly did not get a chance to do as we were mainly there for the cricket! Vikki's place is understated in the photographs.
The home is lovely and the views from the house and the nearby Cabier Ocean Lodge are splendid. The property is very well maintained and outfitted appropriately.
Vikki was exceptionally helpful in the weeks leading up to my trip and really took the time to ensure I was well informed. She definitely made it easier for me. I must also comment on the service provided by the property manager Linnette, and Timmy one of the maintainers. They were reachable any time I called and made my trip so much better, especially when it came to traveling between the house and the airport.
I will only confirm that this is definitely off the beaten path so be aware you will be 50 minutes from usual activities. Vikki will recommend you rent a 4x4. In all I am grateful for her wonderful accommodation. You need a car and to drive carefully round lots of hilly blind corners! Worth noting that although the house is very airy there is no aircon which we did feel when we were packing our suitcases! There is a gorgeous beach about a half an hour drive away in La Segasse. The beach bags and towels provided came in handy and they even left us wine and chocolate upon arrival!
While Carsten was out of town, so we did not have the pleasure of getting to meet him, Geraldine was an absolute wonder! She took such great care of us giving us all kinds of insight into Grenadian life and advice on what to do and not do.
She was even nice enough to help us organize our car rental, and give directions to the real estate agents we were meeting with during our trip read: Grenada is a beautiful and unique island, but I really think that Carsten and Geraldine have the most beautiful vista in the entire country!
We absolutely recommend Geraldine and Carsten's home to anyone willing to make the trip to the Island. Thanks again Geraldine, for the drinks at Le Phare Bleu! We enjoyed chatting and getting to know you, and your sweet pets. Thanks for all of the help! We can't wait to reconnect in August!
Awesome views of the island and proximity to wedding site in Le Phare Bleu was perfect. It was a beautiful site to wake up to every morning. Hands down staying here was an incredible experience. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful with any of my needs. From a pick up to their place once my stay at another hotel was ending to tips as to what to do out and about around the island. The view is amazing out there being able to watch the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from a pretty sweet vantage pt overlooking the local area.
The room in question that I stayed in wasn't so much a room but a small apartment which was awesome. Tastefully designed and with a thoughtful layout I really found nothing to complain about. All and all I wasas pretty impressed by everything I received staying there for such a low price and were I to come back I definitely will stay here again.
Thank you Geraldine and Carlston! I opted out of the car rental bc driving on the opposite side of the road Be warned that the hills from the house to bus are steep, so bring your sneakers! My stay with Geraldine and Carsten was better than I could have imagined! They are fantastic company, the views are unbelievable and they know of all the best spots to go!
The really made my stay amazing! Will definitely be going back: Fantastic location for a quiet getaway. Carsten is a great host. He picked me up right at the aiport, was super helpful, friendly, and has great local knowledge. Staying at this place was awesome! Carsten and his girlfriend recently redid the place and the interior is really trendy and pretty. Carsten was super nice and picked us up from our hotel and took us up to his beautiful place on top of a hill overlooking Le phare bleu, egmont and saga cove.
Got rum punch on arrival, hung out with the dog and chatted. Super nice dude, cute place with all the amenities fully stocked kitchen, nice hot water shower, wifi, all that jazz. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. We stayed at Kerheol for five days and had a great time. Carsten and Geraldine were perfect hosts and enabled us to make the best of our short stay on Grenada.
They can help you out with just about anything ans are great to have around for a beer in the evening! The location is just perfect.
Beautiful view and always a gust of wind, so no need for insect repellant. Clema was really welcoming and did everything to help us have a great experience.
You can feel that she really enjoys hosting travelers. The place was really clean and as described in the photos. Clema's apartment is really lovely, tucked away from the city, very quiet and clean and in a residential neighborhood. This is a great place for travelers looking to live like locals! Clema is also incredibly friendly and more than willing to share her delicious cooking.
Getting to the apartment is tricky -- if you are driving there yourself make sure you have a functioning GPS, Grenada's roads are generally unmarked and it would be close to impossible to find the place for the first time without real-time directions from the airport.
Apartment is very clean and spacious. It's in a very quite neighborhood and therefore very peaceful and private. Clema is a very gracious host and her check and walk was very warm and welcoming. I will definitely stay at this location again. The best AirBnB host ever. Clema is super nice and friendly. On the first night she received me with typical food for dinner and made breakfast for me everyday so that I could taste Grenadian food.
She took care of me and got me a driver to take me around, who eventually became my friend. The house is cosy, clean and the internet fast. I strongly recommend you stay with at the Sunny Yellow Apartment, the nice people here made the difference. Thank you for everything Clema!!! Clema is an excellent host, what she advertises you will get.
You need to bear in mind Sunny Yellow is an extremely affordable unit but also very clean with insect protection and fans for coolness. Getting around St Georges was easily accessible, there again Clema's guidance was invaluable.
Visiting Grenada just wouldn't be the same without Miss Clema's radiant smile to welcome us. She is super thoughtful and helpful, arranging transportation for us at a moment's notice and responding to our messages quickly.
Her place is super clean and has everything you need, and then some. We opted to take public transportation and the walk to the bus stop was not bad From there, it was pretty easy to get anywhere you wanted to go. The gardens around her home are stunning and the symphony of critters at night was spectacular! She has other rentals and I have stayed at one.
It, too, was delightful! I have learned that sometimes the host matters more than the style of a place and I wouldn't stay anywhere else upon arriving in Grenada than with Miss Clema! She is also always willing to share the bounties of her gardens You will get a real feel of Grenada by staying here and will also feel like long lost family.
Would stay here forever if we could! Please see my other review for more details. The cottage is high up above St George in a nice residential area and the gardens are exquisite. You certainly feel on top of the world and there is usually a nice cool breeze up there. The cottage is ideal for 2 persons but would probably be a little cramped for 4.
We were traveling in Grenada with two young children 2 and 7 months and found that Anne's place was a fabulous fit for us. Situated in a residential neighborhood on a ridge overlooking southern Grenada's harbors, beaches, and capital city, St. George's, Anne's home was beautiful and comfortable. The property feels like one enormous garden, with several varieties of fruit trees, several of which are likely to be in season. The apartment had its own entrance and was well-equipped with all the amenities.
Since we were traveling with young children, we spent a lot of time on the small veranda eating meals we had cooked in the kitchen and enjoying the singing of birds and the cool breezes.
The kids were each able to nap in their "own rooms" while we had the common areas to ourselves. This made a big difference for our vacation! The apartment was also very tidy and had lots of thoughtful touches, like child-friendly bug repellant and high chair, already installed before we arrived.
Anne was a wonderful host. She met us when we arrived, had purchased groceries we had requested, and was always available to answer questions. Her family members were also incredibly welcoming and enjoyed playing with our kids. We enjoyed the location quite a bit. We loved that we were living in a real neighborhood, rather than on a tourist strip, but yet still felt comfortable, safe, and well-connected. Although not within walking distance of anything km is quite far when it directly uphill!
If one were staying in the Grand Anse area, where most of the other hotels are, one would have to drive up and over the mountain to reach other beaches or the rest of the island. We liked that we could zip down to the east coast of the island, or to St. George's, or to the interior within minutes. We don't quite imagine how one would stay in this apartment without a car, but it's not far from a bus stop, so could perhaps be done.
We highly recommend staying in Anne's place, because who wants to stay in just another hotel on the beach? A comfortable and serene place if you want to rest and appreciate a wonderful garden. We recommend it most highly. Lovely quiet place surrounded by beautiful lush tropical foliage with a peek of the ocean. When we had a problem with hot water Anne was very responsive and had it fixed almost immediately. Best part is that she included delicious limeade and local fruits from her garden.
We contacted Anne at the last minute due to a change in our travel plans and she agreed to let us stay even though she was much busier than she likes for hosting. The gardens are beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
Anne was very welcoming and friendly and available whenever we needed her. Being close to bus stops was great for us. Our kids enjoyed playing with Kayla very much!
Clean and well appointed, with lots of handy baby accessories if you are travelling with a little one. Clean, comfortable and quiet setting apart from when the dogs bark! A perfect base for exploring a beautiful island, and Anne was a lovely host.
A lovely residential haven. Gorgeous garden setting and wonderful breezes and cooler climate to be enjoyed! Our family of 3 had a lovely stay for a week in April. The property is beautiful and the views are gorgeous at any time, especially sunset. The kitchen is very well equipped--much better than other holiday homes we have rented. The apartment is very well maintained and Mike and Pat are very thoughtful about providing guests with toiletries, extra linens, emergency supplies, welcome refreshments, and everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The pool and garden are wonderful. The apartment is very private even though it is just below Mike and Pat's home.
The apartment is also very well located. It was just a short drive to restaurants, beaches, and stores. There are also some beaches and restaurants within walking distance but we appreciated the convenience of our own car. The apartment is really clean and comfortable The apartment is located below the host house: Be very careful and precise about what is included or not, as the host keeps requesting more money while you're here Don't expect a great communication: Pat is negative about everything in Grenada and keeps criticizing roads, whether, university We actually wonder why she's living there, if everything is so bad?
Probably the worst experience so far with AirBnB The overall ambiance definitely needs a lot of improvement Pat and Mike are exceptionally warm and welcoming hosts. The property is exactly as advertised and sits in lovely grounds with a very nice patio and pool. This was the perfect location for us - close to everything we needed, with a nice feeling of seclusion and privacy. Was an amazing stay.
Still, I can't help but highlight some standout features: Sitting on a ridge in beautiful L'Anse aux Epines, within walking distance to the beach. Fantastic view to the west. Don't miss the sunset! Listen to Pat and you won't go wrong. It'll be worth it. Pat and Mike couldnt have made us feel more welcome, there place is stunning and everything they say it is. Lovely, clean, well appointed, full service apartment on a hilltop with gorgeous views.
Easy airport access, very private. The hosts are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This is a fantastic air bnb. Pat and Mike have been great hosts and very helpful.
We could not have wished for a better stay and we will certainly be back. Rebecca's apartment is fantastic. Very homey, you'll feel like you live there after a day. It's easy to get downtown via the close bus stop and the view is incredible. Rebecca and Aby are also very easy to get a hold of and willing to help out with anything you need.
They also have a super helpful guide book that gives accurate descriptions and suggestions about fun things to do on the island. Can't recommend staying here enough! My husband and I stayed at Colibri at the beginning of our honeymoon excursion in the Caribbean. Rebecca and Aby were wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond in making sure our stay was comfortable.
As soon as we arrived, they were there to greet us, give us a tour, and provide some insider's tips to the area. The place itself was lovely and beautifully decorated with Rebecca's original art! The location has a wonderful view of the island. It is also up on a hill which provided a much appreciated breeze in the heat. It is also close to a bus stop which we utilized to get into Grand Anse Beach and St.
Lance aux Epines is about a 30 min walk away. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it to anyone! Colibri went above and beyond our expectations. Rebecca and Aby are excellent hosts and exceptional conversationalists. We especially appreciated all the personal touches afforded to us -- Detailed restaurant recommendations, live flowers throughout the place, original artwork, basic necessities stocked in the fridge, calming balcony setting.
We had a most relaxing and memorable stay. We had a great time here. Rebecca and Aby were great hosts. Had drinks with them several times and they had tons of great info about the island.
Easy to get around the island without a car. Easy walk to Dodgy Dock for food. One of the best air bnb expeorences we have had. Had the most wonderful vacation of our lives. Could not have asked for better accommodations or better hosts. The highlights of our trip were drinking morning coffee on the terrace every morning, taking a whirlpool on the terrace after a long day of exploring, and going out on the boat with our wonderful hosts.
Every expectation was exceeded and we definitely recommend staying here! Rebecca and Abbi's home was the perfect spot for a week away in Grenada. The house was clean and better than expected. The view from the deck made for a perfect spot for morning coffee and relaxing in the evening. Both bedrooms have AC which made a big difference for sleeping and comfort at night.
Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and acclimated to Grenada. They picked us up at the airport and showed us all of the best local places and beaches to visit.
They were available if we needed anything at all and made us feel welcomed and at home. Not only are they a funny and amazing couple, they are kind and thoughtful people who want their guests to enjoy the magic of Grenada as they do.
Grenada has a lovely and kind culture, and a stay here truly allows you to be in the middle of all of that. Close to restaurants and beautiful beaches. Rent the Jimmy Jeep from them and enjoy exploring this incredible island! What an amazing stay we had in Grenada at this accommodation. The apartment was more than we could have hoped for, it's spacious enough for two adults to potter happily and not be in each others way. It is light and well ventilated and although not air conditioned we did not find this a problem as we had two very powerful fans that we really used.
The location really worked for us, we were close enough to Gouyave to get any bits and bobs we needed and certainly enjoyed Fish Friday. The buses are frequent and take you into town St George in about 35 minutes for about 4 EC dollars or you can go up to Gouyave in 10 minutes for 2.
The local beach is secluded and good to catch some sun and read a book, if you are a strong swimmer then you will probably be fine in the water if you are a weak swimmer I would suggest you paddle only as the waves are really powerful at times, but it was great having it just across the road for those quiet days. Our hosts could not have been better, we arrived after a ridiculous delay and they were there to meet us, because they live above it makes things easy, if you need some information or something happens then they are close at hand.
We were unlucky enough to have a water main burst in the area but Catherine and Morris bought us some water so that we could at least carry out basic functions. They are just great people and made us feel at home.
We are really pleased that we stayed at the white house, it was a great base to explore Grenada from, such a great place on such a great island, believe me we will be back and we will be coming back to stay here. We were so blessed to stay at Catherine and Morris' home.
We can not say enough about our total experience. Excellent and prompt communication. Clean, safe and so comfy. Plenty of cookware and utensils to prepare meals. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning and evenings visiting and listening to the ocean.
We had so much fun swimming at the beach across the road. The bus stops right out in front and all the bus drivers knew " De White House". So getting around is very easy. The internet can be intermittent but a non issue for us. We stayed 1 week and hopefully planning on being back for 2 weeks next year to stay at De White House. My mum and I loved this house, Catherine and Morris were very welcoming and friendly, and the location great, it is right by a small quiet little beach.
It's also very easy to get buses everywhere. I would highly recommend staying here, and if we visit the island again, we will most certainly stay with Catherine and Morris again! We stayed here for a week. There was some fresh bread for us when we got there. The bread was so good, that the bread alone was worth the price of the room.
The next thing was that the place is so much bigger than it looks in the picture. The place was well supplied with all the item that we needed for the week. Lastly, Catherine made us feel welcome and at home. This place was amazing Great view good people I will recommend this place to anyone five star thanks for having us. We spent eight nights at that beautiful location 40 minutes north of St. The apartment is in very good shape and offers a lot space even for 4 persons.
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a nice dinner. There is also plenty to relax inside or on the huge balcony. We loved it that Morris and Cathrine provided us some food for the first day and that we could get fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables from their garden. An absolute highlight is the black-sanded beach right two minutes away from the house.
For groceries you can just walk or take a bus to Gouyave. Catherine and Morris where super friendly hosts which helped us out for every question we had, especially about the sights, routes how to get there and th spices of Grenada. We can highly recommend this accomodation to every future visitor of Grenada and we will definitely come back!!! Morris had left some food items in the fridge which made us fell welcoming. On arrival he informed about how to use the TV and internet and the locks to the bedrooms.
The size of the apartment is much bigger than described. Ample space for families and friends. The internet access was good. For anyone traveling from England you do not need any adaptors. The apartment has V and V sockets. I stayed with Catherine and Morris the first week of February, right before Grenada's Independence celebration. The location was perfect for me because I wanted something more secluded, yet accessible. The house is easy to get to by taxi or local bus I recommend a taxi to and from airport, then use the buses to get around the island.
Catherine was so welcoming and the apartment was very clean and spacious. The beach is right across the road and the house is actually a popular bus stop, so you won't have issues there. It's close to Gouyave which is great for Fish Friday. It's about 25 minutes by bus to St. If I go back, I'd definitely stay there. The full kitchen was great bc I could get groceries and cook for myself to save money.
Very lovely home and they were so helpful with giving tips on what I could do. There are two wifi points, one is stronger at the front of the house, the other in the main bedroom. Clema was lovely and the home was exactly as pictured but even more charming in person!
Quiet, peaceful place with everything you need. The bed was comfortable and the fresh breeze at night made for a good nights sleep. Simple, clean, safe and affordable Great location near town where you can catch a bus right outside. Would definitely stay here again. Clema is the sweetest , she came over and made me a local breakfast, smoothie and drove me to the boat. Can't sing the accolades enough. Always a pleasure staying with Clema.
Clean, safe and clear instructions. This is my official Grenada residence Clema just doesn't know it yet. Clema was a very warm and welcoming individual. She made us feel welcome right away as if we were family. She greeted us with a big hug and invited us in to see the apartment. During our stay she cooked for us on several occasions and brought us mangos and freshly made local juice. It was wonderful, we appreciated her hospitality and her willingness to make us feel comfortable.
I will recommend this listing to anyone who is looking to go to Grenada and have a host who genuinely cares about them and there stay.
I originally booked her apartment due to the views and how lovely the place looked.. But after talking to her via messages, I knew this was where we needed to stay. Clema was so informative and helpful! Thank you so much Clema: Miss clema was an amazing host, very informative and helpful.
We loved her place so much, we decided to stay another 2 days. The locals in the neighborhood are SOO welcoming and friendly Clemas "Sunset Stay" is placed next to 3 small beaches and the local bus will pas by and see if you need a ride. It's a perfect way to feel the nice ambiance and get from A to B.
Ask a local for help, they are some of the nicest people on earth. Clema is more than helpful and does make a lot of service. In action and by informations. The house has what you need incl. I can not say enough about our vacation at Lucille's place! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. She was such an excellent host! The location is a little off the beaten path, but great for us.
We did not want the hussle and bussle of being directly in the city. The apartment was clean, and had more than enough space for the two of us.
There is a list in the apartment that addresses everything you could possibly need, such as transportation, restaurants, and tour opportunities. There is so much to be said about this location and even more about the hostess! Lucille was a great host who arranged transportation from the airport and took the time in providing valuable information suggesting many island activities and sights to see along with some great local restaurants.
Lucille's appartment is airy and spacious, well-laid out with everything you need for a holiday in Paradise! Lucille was always on hand to help out with whatever, give tips, answer queries, and with her cheerful nature , it felt very much like home. I was so sad to leave and hope to be back. The Appartement is spacious and the beds are comfortable. There is a very active dog. Lucille and her family are great hosts- allways chearing and helpful. Kitchen is equiped with the most basic things you will need.
Ac in mainbedriom works fine. No Restaurants or foodstores within less then 25 min walk. Wifi is super fast. We enjoyed here one week and went to the waterfalls near Greanville, St. Georges and Grand Anse Beach. Close to the place is the Westerhall Rum distellerie. Can totally recommend the place. This was a great spacious apartment in a good location for accessing most areas we tried to go, quiet and peaceful for getting good rest, and good breeze for comfortable sleep.
The pool was a nice touch, and ad most all things you needed to make meals and enjoy the time. Nice neighborhood as well. The place was a tropical haven in the hills with everything that you would wish for: Inside was a lounge area, a huge kitchen, and a bedroom with 4 poster bed and curtains that billowed in the breeze.
The only drawback of this fabulous location was that you do either need to rent a car, walk down a windy road to the bus stops, or take a taxi. She did offer many rides when possible. Lucille is one-of-a-kind woman with charm, friendliness, an infectious laugh, and energy that does not ebb. Not only did she provide travel info but included us in her life. Other examples— she set-up a custom tour, and on my birthday my husband had her daughter, the baker, make a surprise birthday cake.
We had to leave Grenada, but really hated to leave Lucille. Hope you also get to enjoy Lucille's hospitality and the spicy island of Grenada! From the moment we were picked up from the airport to the time we dropped off the hire car at the airport, prior to our departure from the island, we were so relaxed, much of that was due to Lucille and Anthony's helpfulness and kindness.
When we arrived we had ideas of things that we were going to do but the additional suggestions of places to visit, places to eat and of local entertainment that we were not aware of helped to make our visit to the island a much richer experience.
We had a fabulous time at Lucille's place. Her and her family were fabulous hosts and she was incredibly accommodating.
The place is a beautiful setting for such a wonderful island. It's easy to navigate around Grenada. The beaches are stunning- especially BBC beach. The flat is a bit further out so if you are going out for dinner, you'll need to get a taxi which is easy enough.
Good value for the money.
