There is beauty in life all around us, sometimes directly in front of us. Sometimes I get so distracted with the to-do list, with the routine of life, with accomplishing the goals of the day. Then there are times when others help me see how fortunate I am. Even more there are times we take spontaneous beautiful moments and allow ourselves to thrive and grow in them. I look forward to those gentle reminders, those little moments. Tomorrow may be just another day, but who knows what little moment I may discover.
Also starring Jude Law. The movie follows very successful pop singer Celeste who, by , is an embattled, scandalized star trying to stage a comeback with her sixth album, a sci-fi-inspired collection of songs titled Vox Lux. The film features original songs by Sia, one of the most effortless pop stars of our time, and an original score by Scott Walker, the experimental legend whose work has spanned various genres. I wrote male in the headline for a reason.
I don't want this thread to be hijacked with lesbian characters. If the lesbians want to discuss that then they can start their own thread. I would have put beef at number one. There is nothing more mouth-watering sorry, cows, it's nothing personal. Also love prawns, chicken and turkey. Bacon's all right, but I'm not as big a fan of it as the rest of the world seems to be.
When I was a Ph. On the day in question, our research lab had just finished our weekly meeting, and I chatted with my colleague as I packed up my things to head back to my office. As a little boy, his son loved playing with dolls. After many years of therapy and fighting constantly about the course of action they would take, his son had come out as gay.
I grew up as a straight woman in the gay community, at a time when homophobia was rampant in North American society. I witnessed the harassment and ignorance that my friends faced on a daily basis. Most, as a result, hid their sexual orientation from anyone outside of the community, and few were openly out to their families.
Although things have definitely improved since then, discrimination against gay people still exists. I used to love vanilla roasted coffee beans, and a roommate shamed me into not buying them. He told me they were tacky, and I never bought them anymore. He said the same thing about milk chocolate versus dark chocolate, but though i learned to like dark chocolate, I still but milk chocolate.
It was actually a tribute to Robert Guillaume. Nothing but Dems and there are tons of them , have seen only 2 Repub yard signs. This is true in even the most affluent neighborhoods. Back in April , I was ten years old and living with my parents and my sister, Ann, on a fruit farm near Uckfield, East Sussex. Life was idyllic but uneventful. Her name was Vivien Leigh Although Vivien always maintained her Eaton Square flat in London, she would use Tickerage Mill, the five bedroom Queen Anne house next to us, as a haven from the sorrow of losing Olivier and the vicissitudes of middle age.
Another time, Vivien called to tell us that she would be walking in the woods with Peter Finch, the Australian actor with whom she had a devastating affair, that afternoon and that if we wanted she would introduce us. Peter Finch was handsome, charming and put me at ease to such a degree that I even asked him and Vivien to come to my school play. Although she had a romantic relationship with actor Jack Merivale, who hosted many of the parties at Tickerage, pouring drinks rather like a butler, I saw very little affection between them and she kept a life-size portrait of Olivier on the wall next to her bed.
Such was her love that when she came back from a trip and her housekeeper told her she had a surprise, Vivien jumped to the conclusion that Olivier was coming to Tickerage to see her. When the Uckfield District Town Band arrived, ready to play for her as a surprise, Vivien was inconsolable.
She cried so much that the band had to be sent away. He's 38, never married, no legit girlfriends though his PR team has been pathetically pretending otherwise in SM. He pings to high heaven. The bios that stated he was gay, have been scrubbed.
The clips of his gay roles have dissapeared from Youtube. Last year, Heughan and his rumored bf -Luke Neal- spent over a month travelling together around the world. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on. This is the first small screen series termination from the comic giant by the Reed Hastings run Netflix and a hard blow for the Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick led show about the mystically empowered NYC-based marital arts hero and Defenders member.
Cast members on the series that as most recently run by Raven Metzner were informed of the cancellation in the last few hours, I hear. At present, a migration of the other three Marvel series that evolved out of the lucrative deal between Disney and Netflix is not in the cards.
A third season of the Krysten Ritter led Jessica Jones was order in April and a third season of fellow Defender Luke Cage is expected to get the formal go-ahead any day now. The expectation is the apparently widely watched and critically acclaimed tale of the Man Without Fear will be back for a fourth Charlie Cox led season. Daredevil spinoff The Punisher was given a second Jon Bernthal fronted season in late , soon after Season 1 launched.
He out-masculines Idris Elba. Has a voice deeper than a sea. Perfect face and body. And above all, unlike other hot gays, he isn't a narcissistic who posts pics of his body every day.
Oh, did I say he is quite funny? Should her long overlooking for an acting Oscar be corrected before it is too late such as what has happened with many other big name stars in the past?
Is he as hot off-camera? Anyone know how he handled being one of the earliest out Gays in pop? Heard of any Diva tendencies? What is he doing now, with his husband and his sizeable back catalogue? I can't believe I'm posting this on DL. Still love you bitches. I'm a die-hard Halloween fan and I want people to go see this. I felt like an 8 year old fangirl again, transported to the late 80s, watching part 1 in my bedroom and 4 in theaters both make up my favorite installments in the franchise.
Forgive the writing, I'm still too gleeful for words. David Gordon Green manages to creatively and beautifully thread together the best elements of the original and of the franchise as a whole including Zombie's what I consider "fanfiction remakes" , weaving together both a frightening and poignant homage-sequel-reboot that manages to use subtlety and ambiguity expertly in exploring the mythic Michael Myers and the evil that surrounds him with refreshingly new eyes a pun intended and revealed later in my short review.
Midway through our first encounter with Myers, it's as if something descends upon or is awakened within "the Shape", causing the atmosphere and those around him to buzz with a static and hair-raising foreboding. It's an unsettlingly electric and effective sequence that, rather than explain any why's, simply allows the audience to experience and imagine the evil that permeates this man or person or thing?
He has been a couple of projects but recently has been in Teen Wolf as a new character. I was watching a interview of him and he pings as fuck. Why is it so unfriendly and cliquish?
I feel like I'm back in high school since I've started working there. Anyone else have similar experiences? The handsomest and most influential male heartthrob ever on the screen, and yet we rarely discuss him.
He was almost certainly mostly gay, and yet that charlatan and sensationalist Kenneth Anger so twisted around so many influential and oft-quoted stories about Valentino in the first "Hollywood Babylon" book that it's hard now to know what's fact and what's fiction. What's the best and most accurate biography about him that won;t be padded with Kenneth Anger or Darwin Porter-style exaggerations?
For me it was a cruise to the Bahamas. Couldn't wait to get off the ship to call it a ship of fools would be insulting to fools everywhere and when we did it was terrible weather, buggy, muggy, just awful. Found the whole place a tourist trap. Never so happy to get home. People still like to shop in actual brick and mortar places. Going to the mall is still a thing. So why is Sears in bankruptcy and JCPenney and other big name retailers in trouble? Owensboro is a town of 60K on the Ohio River in western Ky.
Picture the biggest, fattest most backward, ignorant redneck wearing a MAGA hat riding a scooter in Walmart, and that's Owensboro, i. The city will probably make this dad marshal of its Christmas parade. I have not a single paternal bone in my body so am interested in hearing why others want kids. Men AND women welcome to respond. I don't usually see threads like this on here. Any of you play videogames? Any era, or genre is fine. Lots of talk on this message board about pop stars who, while iconic and talented in many ways, mostly are not incredibly talented musicians.
New thread and as in previous threads anything can be discussed here figure skating wise. Just be nice and have fun.
Turns out the rehearsal was for his own regular variety show. In any case, this lead me to discovering his many albums, several of which featured Pat doing the standards of the 20s and 30s the albums Yes Indeed and Moonglow, respectively. I am always a sucker both for the standards and listening to someone who was off my radar screen, so Pat fits the bill. I'm now at the age where I really should stop collecting "things," so instead of seeking out the old LPs or buying the CDs, I think I will download.
That way, I can take the nudie shot of Pat and Pat Jr. Ah, the best of all worlds. Thanks to each of you for your contributing comments. As such a front and center Christian with all the conservative and even oppressive trimmings that sometimes go along with that , he is often the target of derision from the gays.
I'm not sure what he would think of me, but I do think that he does have a sense of humor and, hopefully after so long in show business, a sense of fairness. It's great that he was so accommodating to you and your autograph requests, NotFelix! And, Narciso, I thought he sounded just wonderful on that song you mentioned.
The ending is darn near unforgettable in its simple beauty and purity of voice something we don't seem to value much anymore. Like I said, he keeps losing parts of his costume as it goes along already a fetish of mine thanks to Hitchcock and s disaster movies and his body is so healthy and appealing.
There's a bonus in a big, strapping Dutch blonde guy who's also along for the ride and gets stripped down some, too! I'll have to dig up some video evidence of Chris Meloni from his long ago "1st and Ten" days, an HBO football series he starred in for a while. From listening to Debbie Boone speak, her dad has a problem with "redefining marriage" and not with gay people in general as he has been surrounded by them in the industry for so long.
Even so, I was a little daring knowing the target, but it paid off. He did it with humor too. That crystal tub picture I sent was dedicated, "To Felix, a nice cool bath! The music I have of his is modern and all within the last 15 years more or less.
Though he still has a great voice today, it is no where near the voice on "They can't take that away from me. About "Shawshank Redemption", the shower scene in the version with the image format to the old model tube TV and maybe the VHS version, the large penis of a man who goes to the left appears.
