The total energy savings for N. State will be more than the cost of the contract, said Barry Wilhelm, an executive with Schneider Electric, which is installing digital control systems for heating, cooling and lighting, major mechanical systems and upgraded light fixtures and is weather-proofing the buildings. The fossil was found in Webster County, Ky. AP — Landmark business signs around one Tennessee county are in danger of being torn down because of a loophole in the zoning code, but two councilmen are trying to close it. It was spearheaded by a local organization formed to preserve the vessel and keep it home-ported in Key West, where it was originally assembled. They also survived the deflation of seeing one slam transformed into a three-run homer by a ruling that had coach Scott Maddox pulling his hair out, and powered their way to a win against North Rowan at Robertson Stadium on a dreary Saturday afternoon fit only for polar bears and penguins.
Nolan Meyerhoeffer, Tonseth and Spencer Carmichael crushed pitches over the wall. It was a high pitch. I guess I put a good swing on it. For so many years, it was Woods who delivered big birdies that made everyone else take notice. This time, it was McIlroy who forced Woods to back off. He then hit his approach over the green and missed a 6-foot par putt, leaving him seven shots behind. Take away the two threeputts there, a couple of unforced errors and it should have been a pretty good round.
He has made only three bogeys over three rounds, and no three-putts, always a key at the Masters. He and Day were tied for the lead at 9 under as they made their way through Amen Corner, and McIlroy seized control on the 13th. Day attacked the flag in the back left corner and went long, into the second cut.
His delicate chip rolled back toward him, he putted up the slope about 6 feet below the hole and missed the putt to make bogey. Day fell further behind as McIlroy played well beyond his 21 years. The second one came quickly, the third even faster. Dominic Moore, Lecavalier and Stamkos scored during a 6-minute, second flurry in the first period.
Tampa Bay led midway through the second and held on to send the New York Rangers — and former coach John Tortorella — into the Eastern Conference playoffs as the No. Gagne also had an early assist and Mike Smith made 42 saves for the Lightning, who matched a club record with their 46th victory and closed the regular season with wins in seven of eight.
I thought it was. The Rangers won earlier in the day to move to 93 points — two ahead of the Hurricanes, who held the tiebreaker over New York. That meant a victory of any kind against Tampa Bay would have given Carolina just its second playoff berth since winning the Stanley Cup. Philadelphia opens defense of its conference championship next week against the No.
The Flyers won the division for the first time since — a minor consolation after they squandered their lead atop the East to Washington with the late-season swoon. Kimmo Timonen and Danny Briere also scored for the Flyers. Darroll Powe added an empty-netter with 1 second left. Parenteau scored for the Islanders, who finished and with 73 points. The Rangers had to wait several hours to see if they would claim the No. New York edged out Carolina by two points and will face Washington in the first round.
Washington, which lost for only the third time in 20 games , had clinched. Michal Neuvirth made 22 saves for the Capitals. Boston must win its regular-season finale Sunday in New Jersey to have a chance. Blues 2, Predators 0 ST.
Oshie scored from his knees early in the second period for St. Pekka Rinne made 24 saves for the Predators, who are assured of at least the sixth seed in the West. Northwest had two baserunners with one out in the first, but the unflappable White, who already has won or shared three county player of the year awards, worked out of the jam, as she always seems to do. Jessie Rummage reached on an error to start the inning, and slappers Ericka Nesbitt and Kayla Kirk used their speed to load the bases.
Williford struck out White and had a chance to get out of the inning with a double-play grounder, but Thomas lofted a sac fly to right to plate the. Sydney Poole followed with a bloop to right that barely eluded the lunging second baseman. Nesbitt and Kirk roared around the bases, and it was After that, I was just trying to poke it through somewhere. The goal, obviously, is a return trip to Raleigh, and games like the one Northwest provided on Saturday will help them get there.
Those challenges include an April 23 neutral-site scrap with North Davidson ranked 17th nationally and a May 4 trip to Norwood to play undefeated 1A power South Stanly. Hornets happily bounced around the bases, but in the celebration, Chase Etters, a courtesy runner for catcher Clint Veal, was ruled not to have touched home plate. Instead of a tie, North still led Instead of a slam, Meyerhoeffer settled for a three-run jack.
Maddox pleaded his case but to no avail. It put the Hornets on top for the first time at That turned a potential bases-clearing triple by Barker into a sacrifice fly for a tie. Pitcher Brian Bauk did the rest. After he relieved Knox, Bauk got out of a mess in the fifth by getting Mauldin, who came to the plate 3-for-3, on a harmless groundball.
Wonderful accommodation in an idyllic peaceful setting, would recommend to anyone and we will certainly return. At this price we were disappointed that - despite being in a beautiful location - there were no views at all from the property itself as everywhere was fenced off and the outside space was extremely limited - although the owners property sits amidst extensive grounds. For once the description really lives up to the reality, it really was a hidden gem. A fantastic space with spectacular views just a short distance away.
So close to nature with wild horses just outside and we were lucky enough to catch a herd of deer running past as we left for a walk. Emily was kind enough to loan us a baby bath which was a great help and you can easily prepare yourself a meal in the well equipped kitchen. A perfect stay for our little family myself, wife and 4 month old baby. We'll hopefully be back in a few years! My partner and I had a wonderful time was lovely to get away. They made us feel very welcome and are very warming people xxx thank you so much the accommodation was lovely and had nice little extras that have thought of everything to make you feel comfortable x.
The whole process was seamless. The lodge had everything you could have wanted, and the breakfast hamper vastly exceeded expectations. The accommodation was so peaceful which made relaxation effortless.
The location of the Lodge allowed us to explore Ringwood and enjoy the restaurants Amanda had recommended, as well as other destinations in Dorset. Amanda was a fantastic host and we would love to stay again. A fantastic little retreat!! We stayed here for 2 nights in February as we had plans in Southampton for the Saturday night.
Ringwood was a very good location for walks, shops and restaurants. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and very comfortable! Amanda had very kindly left the cabin stocked with a large selection of breakfast pieces and all the toiletries anyone would need! The cabin was lovely and warm and being set back from the road, it was peaceful too! We will definitely recommend friends! The lodge was perfect for the two nights we stayed, everything had such thought and care put into it. The food provided was more than enough even for us , and Amanda was so lovely even when we left a phone inside and had to traipse back to interrupt their morning for it.
Rather, one of us did. Highly recommended for a little getaway. Amanda's place is lovely and even better than what you can see of it in the photos. Behind the lodge is a summer house for guests with a log burner and all the tools required to enjoy her beautiful garden. The only minor quibble we had was that it was smaller than anticipated however our experience in its entirety cancelled that out.
The lodge is equipped with everything you need to enjoy some time out. It was the little things that really made our stay great - the board games in the summer house, the selection of DVDs and local guides, the generous breakfast selection and the aromatic scent of the diffuser! We had a lovely weekend at the lodge, they're thought of everything you could possibly need. It's the little extra touches that make the difference: A perfect place to stay for the Bank Holiday weekend.
Our only disappointment the weather wasn't nice enough to enjoy the private outdoor space. Thank you Amanda for the welcome and delicious breakfast. Thanks Amanda and mark for making us feel welcome at the lodge. It was just as advertised although the photos don't show how lovely your garden is.
The travel cot and highchair were much appreciated as was the shed full of toys. A perfect base for exploring the new forest. We had an excellent stay with Alison.
The property is beautiful, ideal for a quiet break. Alison is an excellent host, and could not do enough for us - she is very warm and friendly. I high recommend it! We had a lovely, brief, last minute, one night stay here and it was perfect. The converted barn was comfy, modern, beautifully-done and quiet and Alison was so accommodating. There were little notes scattered around the place which was a lovely added touch.
Homemade scones were left there for us on our arrival which were delicious and things such as milk and jam were in the fridge for us. We had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful stay. Tastefully appointed, clean and comfortable. Alison is a thoughtful and helpful host: Very quiet, clean, spacious with a beautiful garden and a charming host who is not shy to take the extra care.
You will definitely not regret a stay at Alisons. Amazing place, so serene and quiet. Our host was amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. Such a great place to stay and everything you could want is close. The space was amazing, clean and welcoming and a delight to wake up every day to birdsong and fresh clean air. We can't wait to return. Extremely well connected to all the local attractions and places to visit and lots of info is provided.
My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Alison's place - the place is the perfect size for a couple's retreat and it is beautifully decorated. Alison has filled the barn with everything you could ask for - from heated blankets to washing powder! The bed was comfortable and the barn perfectly warm, with parking just across the street and a Tesco just a short walk away.
Alison was an extremely flexible host - she left us to our own devices but was always on hand if we needed any recommendations. She was also extremely flexible with check in times. I would definitely stay at Alison's again and recommend it for future holiday goers!
Alison is a warm and very helpful host. The place is spacious, tastefully furnished, comfortable and well equipped. We highly recommend it as a base for exploring the New Forest. We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Garden Room. Alison was a great host, welcoming and informative and allowed us the space to enjoy our time away.
The accommodation was everything we needed for the weekend and was a great location for exploring the surrounding area. The Bothy was exactly what we were after. A quiet, secluded weekend away to chill in front of the fire, dip in the hot tub and scene walks topped off with cream tea. The ponies were friendly too. We had an absolutely lovely time here! It's in such a peaceful and quiet location but so close to the a31 and super easy to get to.
Perfect for a weekend break. Would love to stay here again. The Bothy is a very cute cottage with all the amenities you could wish for. It is cosy and comfortable and the hot tub is a lovely added luxury. The location is idyllic and peaceful but lots of lovely places to visit close by. Tiny cottage near Stuckton in the New Forest. Beautifully furnished with lots of treats on arrival - chocolate croissants, cup cakes, fresh bread, butter, milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, sugar.
Hot tub in a delightful cottage garden outside the back door. Great place to stay for a couple. Beautiful little cottage in a perfect rural setting. It was a lovely break - just what we were after. Lovely and clean and the hosts made us feel very welcome.
The homemade cake was lovely and a nice touch. So sad we had to leave, would definitely return! Great weekend stay in The Bothy. The place has been wonderfully restored and decorated. Top notch host, accommodation and location.
Highly recommend for any new Forrest break. Just home from a lovely stay at the Bothy. Very relaxing stay away from the family. Well worth the visit. A beautiful cottage in a stunning and magical setting.
Chrissy and her family were amazingly welcoming, providing us with everything we needed, and more, including a delicious cake, breakfast, wine, high hair, travel cot and a great selection of toddler toys. The roll top bath, white towels, bath robes and log burner made it even more special. There are two great pubs within walking distance, and the Bothy provided us with a great base to explore the forest and the coast. We stayed at red oak barn for two nights with my partner, sister her partner and baby and we had a lovely weekend.
The barn was so well equipped and so cosy! The log burner is lovely and keeps the barn so lovely and warm There was so many lovely extra touches. Thank you Gwyneth and Peter you made our stay very enjoyable to the new forest. This place is truly special. Beautifully decorated, and so homely. It is by far the most gorgeous place we have stayed in. Fantastic location with so much around to do.
We have already booked for a return visit in November, and cannot wait. Gwynnie and Peter are wonderful hosts, we felt we left as friends! We had an amazing time at the Red Barn and will definitely be back. The personal touch that the hosts provide to the property make it first class in every regard. We would highly recommend staying here if you want to explore the New Forest and beyond.
The space is so unique in terms of layout both inside and out. The opportunity to sit outside and look up at the stars without any light pollution is something everyone should do whenever possible. We had a wonderful time staying in the beautiful barn conversion and loved all the quirky decor; it felt really cosy and homely.
The garden and the setting is beautiful and provides very easy access to lots of great walks in the surrounding area. We look forward to staying again in the future. A wonderful peaceful place to stay for the three of us and just what we needed after the hustle and bustle of London and Paris. Gwyneth and Peter made us feel most welcome. We stayed at Red Oak Barn for 3 nights, the booking process was straightforward and directions were clear.
Peter and Gwyneth we're welcoming on arrival and showed us around the barn. We really liked the quirky style and the unique nature of the place.
We loved the cosy wood burner, lots of wood supplied. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us and to do walks locally.
We had family over for dinner one night which worked well. The kitchen was very well equipped and great for entertaining. The hosts had thought of everything we might need. Pete and Gwyneth were helpful with recommendations of where to eat, there are some good pubs locally. A lovely short break! Beautiful and comfortable retreat and home away from home.
The hosts were very helpful and generously welcomed us with some lovely food items for our stay! The barn is very well equipped throughout. We had planned to perhaps venture out for walks etc but the weather was gorgeous and we ended up sunning ourselves on the lovely decking throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this gorgeous place to friends and family. A very private, cosy, comfortable Barn. Gwyneth and Peter are super hosts and make you feel very welcome. Fully equipped with all you should need but lots of little extras which add to its personality.
Gorgeous outside area which is great if the weather is not so accommodating! A nice little place perfect for a weekend away with our little family. It's within easy reach of lots of New Forest attractions and is a short drive to Ringwood and Burley. The beer and wine on arrival were very much appreciated, and Sharron was kind enough to leave a card for our daughter, whose birthday we were celebrating.
The stables was a lovely place to stay. Sharron had left us milk, tea bags and coffee etc for our mornings in the house and also, since we arrived late after work, was more than accommodating with quick responses to texts and leaving us a sign so we could find the drive in the dark! Highly recommend visiting the new forest and staying in this great little base to explore it: Our stay was great.
Beautiful, relaxing place which was perfect for us and our dog. Everything was exactly as described and Sharron couldn't have been more helpful. Mega farm shop 1 minute away too! Very comfy and accommodating , comfy beds and lovely and clean. Highly recommend to all. Thanks see you next year. A lovely place to stay. Gorgeous accommodation in a great location. We were made to feel really welcome with a lovely selection of goodies on arrival.
Sharron was very responsive and helpful to all queries both before and throughout. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again! Very accurate with directions I would highly recommend The Stables. It was an ideal location for our visit to Peppa Pig World and the beach. Sharron is a great host who makes the cottage very homely and leaves personal touches everywhere. The birthday card for our 2 year old was a lovely little surprise!
Would definitely stay again. The log cabin absolutely blew us away. Such a magical place in the middle of the new forest district. We will most definitely return. This little lodge was a great little place to stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The lodge itself had everything we needed, and the location was perfect. The lodge was large with plenty of room for the whole family. We had not quite appreciated how open plan the upstairs and toilet was. The lodge is situated closer to the main house that we realised but the garden was amazing.
The boys loved checking the chicken run for eggs in the morning. The hosts two dogs were lovely - a treat for our boys as well. We had brought our mountain bikes and were able to access paths straight from the house. A short drive from the lodge there is a holiday centre with a shop, bike hire and a laundrette.
All in all we had a lovely time. Fantastic find in the New Forest! So quiet and peaceful, with lovely spaces all around the outside to relax as well as a dart board! The whole bathroom is open so you need to be pretty close to your traveling companion s , still very impressed overall with the amenities and setting! Also we really love the Labradors! Location was great, and the cabin had everything we needed.
Very peaceful stay in the forest, we often saw horses walking past and lots of squirrels and birds. The donkeys at the top of the road were lovely to see! In walking distance to a lovely pub for a refreshing drink after a day of walking. The space itself was excellent; the perfect amount of space for a couple, with a home cinema and lovely roll-top bath.
However, it's the gardens and surrounding landscape that catapault this place into another league. Pure magic for any lovers of the quiet life and great outdoors. The hosts couldn't have been any more welcoming, and we were especially grateful to Lynne for giving us a lift to the bus stop on the last day. We hope to return with our new baby for more BBQs and baths under the stars. We stayed here for three nights with our two daughters and dog. What a wonderful find, so peaceful and relaxing, waking up to birds singing and the woodpecker amongst a few.
The lodge was very comfortable, great facilities, cannot fault it. Out the back gate up onto the ridge was perfect for walking our dog and to find beautiful scenery. We adventured out to Mudeford for a day which is worth a visit. Do book though and be prepared to be worn out after. Thank you Lynne and Nigel and especially Simba and Tula for coming to see us each day. We had a lovely stay, the accommodation is really lovely and cosy and the garden was beautiful.
Lynne made us feel very welcome so we could just make ourselves at home. Our two children loved playing with all the animals - chickens, ducks and dogs and neighbours - and exploring in the garden. A fantastic find, tucked away in a beautiful location. Perfect for a relaxing weekend, with good pubs and cafes within easy walk distance.
For a little hut it feels very homely and with a super shower! This is the perfect place for peace quiet and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Lovely walks to enjoy lots of wildlife hosts really welcoming overall a lovely place to stay. Thank you Jo and Carl for an absolutely fantastic weekend stay at Maurietty. It was spotlessly clean, with a powerful shower and a super comfy double bed! The location is perfect. The view was fantastic with rolling green fields and horses immediately in front of us, and we were even lucky enough to spot deer on our first evening!
We took advantage of the lovely local farm shop including two ploughmans! The amazing New Forest is literally on your doorstep, so we went on a couple of stunning walks with plenty of wild cows and horses to admire along the way! Jo and Carl were fantastic friendly hosts and we would definitely like to return later this year! We spent two nights at the lovely Sheperds Hut. It is so tranquil and Maurietty is finished to such a fantastic standard.
The bed is so comfortable and the shower is amazing! The Shepherd's hut is truly stunning, set in a beautiful spot of land overlooking a gorgeous field of horses. Jo and Carl were excellent hosts, we wanted for nothing, the hut was spotless, had everything you needed for a short break even a pint of milk and biscuits waiting for you.
Location is 2 mins from the local farm shop too, which served excellent fresh food. As soon as you leave the property you're immersed into the new forest experience, wild ponies, cows, and pigs wandering the forests. We spent our evening's sat outside the hut, with a glass of wine and fresh local foods, watching the sun go down.
I cannot rate Jo and the service she offers enough, this was a truly amazing break and I can't wait to return! The Hut is based in a little pocket of Paradise in Gorley wood.
Central all one could wish for in and around the New Forest area. Be it walking and exploring the forest from the hut, or driving to local towns and villages. The Hut itself is equipped with all the basic amenities. If visiting through the warmer months additional refrigeration may be required. Whilst staying in The Hut we experienced ALL weather conditions with a hefty storm coming through one of the evenings.
The vista from The Hut is a visual treat with the whole environment offering one peace and tranquility. Thanks again to Jo and Carl for the opportunity in allowing us to share time in your neck of the woods. Absolutely fantastic accommodation, exactly as it shows. Superb location and excellent host. Would certainly recommend and would love to visit again. Great accommodation and hosts. As first guests here there were a few minor issues, but Nicole did her best to get these rectified as soon as possible.
Would love to come back for another relaxing stay sometime. Recommended property and hosts. The barn is a very comfortable and stylish place to stay with all of the New Forest on your doorstep.
Nicole was helpful both before and during our visit giving local tips so we would recommend anyone staying here. My partner and I had a great stay at Nicole's place. We were met on arrival by our hosts who showed us around and explained everything in the house, as well as giving us information about the local area.
It was great to have this as many hosts aren't so helpful. The place had everything we needed, including lots of additional information on the surrounding areas. It's extremely stylish and comfortable, and we enjoyed seeing the many interesting birds that visited us daily right outside our windows!
Thanks Nicole, we'd love to come back. A beautifully presented barn with all of the comforts of home. Such a peaceful location whilst only a short stroll into Burley and onto the many walking and cycling trails. Would highly recommend staying here. Great communication, absolutely fantastic place, finished to an exceptionally high standard.
All this and in a beautiful location. Exceptional decor and very peaceful surroundings. Very good communication, Jane made us very welcome although it was late at night. The place was very cosy and as described, very clean and with all facilities. The stairs to room upstair was steep but we found it all right to climb.
We had a great time at Jane's. Cosy cottage, very clean, and well located. This place is under construction, which was not declared before hand. Some of the electric heaters don't work, consequently the building is on the cool side. Although the wood burner was prepared for our visit, there were no matches.
We went back to Ringwood to buy some. It was disappointing not to have been greeted by the hosts, in fact we didn't see anybody during our stay. Had I not had Jane's mobile number we would not have managed to enter. Once the wood burner was lit, the dwelling quickly warmed up. We found towels in a cupboard and videos in another.
The cottage is not suitable for 6 people. Do not take up lightly the host's warning on the spiral staircase. The children's bedroom is not suitable for young kids due to hazardous spiral staircase. Staying at that cottage was wonderful, it felt really homely and cosy! This was hands down my best airbnb experience so far, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable space to relax!
Many thanks Jane, we hope to be back some day! We had a lovely stay in Jane's little cottage. Its a great base to explore the New Forest. The cottage was cold but it is November! As soon as you put the log burner on and the radiators it gets very cosy and we loved it, decided to spend a night in rather than venture out into the cold.
Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and we cooked with no problems. Jane is lovely and very responsive: Had an amazing 3 nights staying in the barn at Rockford. Pictures are accurate, you get a lot of space and comfort with the barn.
Whilst it is a big room it feels like 2 with clear areas that are the lounge and another the bedroom. Pauline has created an amazing space. The location is great, just enter the National Park through the gate, a very short walk at the end of the road that leads away from the barn. Pauline is an amazing host, and made every effort to ensure everything was great for us during our stay.
Pauline was flexible, helpful and most importantly friendly even after such a short stay we were sad to finally have to leave after another amazing breakfast. Pauline provided a great breakfast everyday that kept us going all day - and is attentive and responsive to making sure you enjoy what you have. A great place to enjoy the best and worst of the British weather, if it is sunny within minutes you can walk into the park or to the local lakes.
We were able to see deer, ponies and a lot of birdlife including kingfishers. If it is bad weather then the barn is warm and full of things to keep you entertained, we had great fun with the full size table tennis table. We would love to return and recommend this to anyone! We stayed 2 nights at the barn and could happily have stayed for more. Pauline was a great host, making up the wood burner for us and providing tasty breakfasts. Thoroughly recommend it, will definitely be coming back!
Pauline was a great host. We would really recommend the barn for a weekend away. Fantastic choice - beautiful scenery, an excellent host, and a brilliant spot for a relaxing weekend away! A wonderful weekend break, in a lovely warm barn. Enjoyed the brownies on arrival, and was great to have arts and games en tap! Will certainly recommend it to friends and family.
We will most definitely be back again. Fabulous place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the beautifully decorated barn. The barn is very spacious and comfortable.
Pauline kindly prepared the fire place for us every day and the breakfast was amazing. The surroundings were very tranquil and a beautiful forest with deer was 15 meters from the barn. My first experience with AirBNB and what an amazing find. Made us feel really welcome, I don't think I could fault anything the whole time we were there.
Would love to go back and stay again. Was a quiet and scenic place to stay, the hosts were wonderful and the animals around were the best, definitely a fantastic getaway cottage. Such a perfect stay! Was everything we were looking for, super cute, quaint countryside cottage in beautiful location.
Juliane has made the house so cosy and everything we needed plus cats and chickens! Juliane and her daughter were lovely hosts, thanks to both of you.
If we could go back we would! The cottage was very quaint and quiet and the perfect place for a get away to the new forest. The amenities are slightly dated but perfectly usable and the house itself is charming and full of character. Jules and Isabella were both very welcoming and friendly and more than happy to give advice on the local area. We would happily stay here again! Very nice place and nice lady.
She gave us big room was so peaceful and wonderful sleeping. Thanks for breakfast and everything. Cute and quirky cottage - lovely peaceful retreat - great location with nice pubs nearby - gorgeous cats.
Thank you Juliane and Isabella for the week-end. We spent a very good time at your lovely cottage: We will come back! And you are welcome to visit us in France! If you love the countryside, if you love peace and tranquility, then this is your kind of place. And yet very close to shops. Beautiful accommodation in the New Forest, really friendly locals and lovely pubs and walks. Everything was beautifully done and such lovely personal and welcoming touches everywhere.
Bed was so amazingly comfy. Completely recommend this place to anyone. So peaceful, clean, aminities are brill, local pubs are minute walks away. We will defiantly be back with the doggies again soon. Hosts are lovely too, a must stay!! Wonderful stay with a wonderful host! We had a warm welcome from Sarah and made ourselves at home. The Coach House was comfortable loved the rocking chair , spacious and clean. Kitchen was really well equipped too. Lots to explore in the New Forest - highly recommended!
A fantastic place to explore the new forest from. The coach house is ideally located, beautifully decorated and hosts were very friendly. Would book again without hesitation. I loved the coach House. Everything as depicted in the ad. All very clean, private and spacious. Sarah and Mark were really nice and easy to communicate with. Hopefully we can go back soon again x.
This was such a pleasant stay! The place was stunning and spotless too, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our sunny days in and around the pool!
And we loved wandering around the grounds and straight into the new forest for walkies with our doggy. We had a great few days at The Coach House. The place was spotless, in a great location to explore the New Forest and there were some handy tips for the local area. Would recommend to anyone. The bothy is absolutely gorgeous - decorated beautifully, a brilliantly comfy bed and views to die for the surroundings are so lovely! Annabel was so friendly and helpful both before we arrived and while we were there.
She recommended a great local pub for dinner and numerous great walks in the Forest. Breakfast was also absolutely delicious, we really enjoyed your stay! Wow what a great relaxing weekend away! Such a great host, extremely friendly and always happy to help. We both absolutely loved staying here. Annabel was a lovely host and had great communication prior to the stay.
The accommodation was great, good hot shower and really comfy bed. Great location near to the New Forest. We will definitely be back. We had an amazing stay! Annabel was so helpful and thoughtful. Lovely location with beautiful views. Stopped here for one night on our way home from the coast. Annabel was a great host, helping with directions to avoid heavy traffic and we got a good night sleep and breakfast before our trip home.
Location is perfect, right amongst the new forest. Perfect for a getaway from the hussle and bussle. Hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Very helpful and very pleasant. We had no issues what so ever.
The bothy is self contained and was really nice. Clean, recently decorated, ideal accommodation. As it's self contained you are not right on top of everyone else.
Just head over to the house for breakfast in the mornings. What a lovely place the New Forest Bothy is! Annabel and her family are so friendly and welcoming, giving us some great tips about local pubs and bike hire etc.
Delicious breakfast and incredibly comfy bed! Annabel and Chris were amazing hosts. So kind and helpful in every way. What a lovely warm comfortable place, so peaceful and surrounded perfectly by nature, lovely walks and just the view from the window was stunning.
Your breakfast Annabel was perfect. Something different both days. Communication was always efficient and ever so helpful. Its not often that I don't miss my own bed: Sarah is a very friendly and approachable host. The studio was immaculate, tastefully decorated - just like the homes you see in magazines.
She had thought of everything and more. This was my first experience with Airbnb and it was a great one. The Lodge was clean, bright and in a great location. The lodge was fully functioning and I had no issues with any of the items inside.
Waking up to a view of a field of horse was a great way to start the day. Great nature walks with pubs and main town not to far away. I will be defiantly looking to rent the lodge again and would highly recommend it.
Stylish space with thoughtful touches. Perfect getaway with good views to wake up to. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and will definitely return should there be space when we visit again.
It was a beautiful apartment, has everything you need. We would happily stay here again for a weekend away. The Arden Studio is in a lovely setting and does not disappoint - it is spacious, light and airy and even has a fine view from bedroom, an absolute pleasure to stay.
Sarah is a great host and her attention to detail was constant, couldn't want for more as she had thought about and provided so many things that make everything smooth - perfect in every way. Hope to come back sometime! We Have just come back from a very magical place! Surrounded by woods and fields. Sarah is a fantastic host, there are plenty of added touches which make the stay perfect. The studio is spotless, the decor is perfect, the location breathtaking.
We would definitely recommend this hidden gem. A stunning cottage great location for forest walks, beautiful beaches, amazing village food and can hire bikes and do kayaking nearby. Cottage was perfect for what we needed we will be coming back here for another holiday.
Thanks to Linley for amazing recommendations. Stayed for a couple of nights August Accommodation was bijoux but perfectly formed. Inside modern but very comfortable, spotlessly clean with great private outside space garden.
The Forest complete with roaming animals, beautiful green spaces and a local pub serving good food on the door step. And all dog friendly. Linley was a very good host. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a peaceful, relaxing getaway.
And Linley himself was a perfect host. Highly recommended this little gem and would book fast as can see this being extremely busy in the near future! How can I sum up our weekend at Little Glen Brook?
Little Glen Brook combines being modern with being cozy and in the countryside! Everything is decorated to a high standard, and the homely touches that Linley has added to the place really do make you feel comfortable. Linley greeted us on arrival with his two pugs, Martha and Albert, who were happy to see us too, and he offered us lots of great local advice regarding restaurants and places to walk.
The Royal Oak is just a minute up the road, and the food is fab. The kitchen contains all of the items you need for your stay, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery…and a corkscrew, of course!
There is also a toaster, kettle and microwave, and Linley made sure we had a barbecue on the patio outside for the weekend…if only the weather had not thwarted that! A cozy sofa for two with cushions, a Smart TV on the wall, and of course, we had to light the log burner and try it out — so relaxing watching it glow in the corner!
A lovely Molten Brown air freshener on the side, and such a comfy bed! We slept very well indeed under the crisp, white sheets and duvet. The bathroom has a huge shower, so plenty of room for romance in there, and has been finished to a very high standard. I loved the tiles! The cottage itself is self-contained and very private, with its own fence and gate, and we saw a squirrel every day! The location is great - there are New Forest animal inhabitants roaming freely just outside the electric gates of the main house.
There are so many top notch restaurants in the area too. Book in for Sunday lunch at The Mill in Gordleton! You will not regret it! All in all, we loved it and we WILL be back. Excellent location and a really nice base for our stay.
We wanted to go into the New Forest and also down to Bournemouth so this was a perfect place to stay. A beautiful corner of the world to explore, Little Glen Brook makes an ideal base. Everything you could wish for in this high spec but homely accommodation that has its own spacious outside area. Linley is a great host who was available throughout our stay and able to provide local knowledge and advice. We stayed at Little Glen Brook with our dog for five days.
The communication and access to the property was very easy and straightforward. The property is very modern and sparkling clean. It has ample storage in the bedroom and the bed was very comfy. The living space is lovely with doors out to a patio with table and chairs where we enjoyed a few glasses of wine in the evening, it was so quiet and peaceful of an evening. There was lots of info from Linley about the area and places to visit and when we met him he was lovely and friendly and suggested places to eat.
Would definitely recommend Little Glen Brook for a stay especially if you have a dog as you have your own space fenced in so you know your doggie can't stray. We had a great stay and would definitely go back again. Say hello to Muffin for us. Absolutely amazing, June was the host with the most, our plans changed at short notice but it did not faze her at all, a really beautiful home and peaceful location, thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Kevin and Dorte.
Nice quiet location, large bright room with a very comfortable bed. Wonderful host, June, makes you feel very welcome. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend. I stayed at June's place for 10 days during my professional training in nearby Ringwood.
June was a wonderful host. She's kind, generous, talkative and unobtrusive. She picked me up at the airport and offered me transportation when needed. The ground floor of her apartment was a bit messy, but the room was really clean, bright and very quiet.
The bed was very comfortable. June is so sweet and welcoming! House looks nice and cozy, bedroom is very well put together and is recently renovated, looks beautiful. If you're a cat lover like me, i definitely suggest you ask to see her lovely two cats!
Overall, 5 out of 5. June was very welcoming and so were her lovely cats. The bed was really comfortable and the room was quiet. What an amazing lady June is, nothing was too much trouble , lots of amazing personal touches , help, advice that made the stay , easy , peaceful, happy and pleasant , thank you so much June , would recommend to all.
Had a lovely stay here with my boyfriend and parents, very comfortable for 4 adults double sofa bed comfy. Was a cold weekend but the heaters heated the place nicely. We had a wonderful visit. The cabin was lovely and clean and cosy. Nice comforting touches such as fresh lemon cake on arrival, lovely soap in bathroom, nice bedding and blankets and stylish decor.
The gas fires saved us after a day out in the cold rainy weather as the cabin quickly became warm and very cosy. Beautiful setting, free space for the children to play outside and very lovely, helpful and welcoming hosts lovely family and their sweet dog! Wonderful property and ideal location. We had no trouble finding it and really liked the outdoor camp fire! The cabin is in a beautifully peaceful location being in the forest but also easily accessible to the coast, just what we were looking for.
Amber gave us a recommendation for where to take our dogs to the beach, Mudeford Spit in Christchurch she was spot on, it was perfect.
Our hosts are a friendly family and we would go back there. One recommendation I would suggest is some camp chairs for use outside as sitting for extended periods on a bench is not so comfy for an afternoon snooze. We had a fantastic stay in the cabin, it really is right in the woods by the New Forest. Hearing owls at night and waking up to glorious trees and New Forest ponies down the lane was idyllic!
Amber and Dan were organised, welcoming and really went the extra mile for our stay. Thank you so much again. Lovely family, lovely place, lovely cabin. Hope I'll go even next year!
We spent a wet Easter weekend at The Cabin, despite the weather The Cabin was warm and cosy, and the chocolate cake on arrival was very appreciated. When the weather allowed there were local walks, but wellies were essential as it was quite wet. The Cabin was clean and nicely presented with comfy beds, pillows and duvets.
Dan, Amber and Poppy the dog were very welcoming and friendly. We also visited Ringwood and Burley. Both were 5 minutes away by car, and had plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Lyndhurst was a bit further, but well worth it for the walks and tea rooms. We spent an afternoon fossil hunting at Kimmeridge Bay. This was an hour by car, and luckily it was dry when we got there. John and Clare made us feel extremely welcome. We arrived a lot later than we had originally indicated but John was very understanding of this, meeting us when we arrived.
